Sunrise shoots, editing clinics, and night photography sessions at Makhtesh Ramon.
All workshops include field instruction, group critique, and access to our editing studio. Maximum eight participants per session.
Arrive at the crater rim before dawn. Learn to read pre-dawn light, set up for golden hour, and capture the landscape as shadows retreat across 200-million-year-old rock.
Bring your raw files from any shoot. We work through Lightroom and Photoshop workflows together — exposure blending, local adjustments, and monochrome conversion.
Shoot under Bortle 3 skies inside the crater basin. Cover Milky Way composition, star trail stacking, and light painting techniques on desert formations.
Our most comprehensive program combines all three session types across a full weekend. Friday evening arrival, Saturday sunrise and editing, Saturday night astrophotography, Sunday morning review and portfolio critique.
Ideal for photographers who want an immersive desert experience with structured instruction and peer feedback. Accommodation recommendations provided — we partner with local guesthouses in Mitzpe Ramon.
Sessions run year-round. Summer workshops focus on night photography; winter sessions capture dramatic storm light and low-angle sun.
